Big shout out and thanks to Bendigo Bank, Community Bank Milton & South Coast.

They have kindly donated the funds to allow the second Beach Rescue facility to be constructed, installed and maintained at Bawley Beach boat ramp.
We anticipate it to be operational during April 2026.
Our first Community-Led Project, delivered through the new SCC portal, was installed and commissioned at Shell Beach (Mud Holes). It includes an AED, a Tourniquet, an emergency First Aid Kit, and two Rescue Tubes, all in a separate cabinet.
Special thanks to Jan Munyard for initiating the Project.
Also, thanks to Lurlene Eve, Lynn & Beric Cowley, and Peter Longstaff for scoping, procuring, and obtaining approval through the new SCC CLP portal for this Project, and to the two community groups, BPKTCA/Sports & Rec, for providing support along the way.
.. and to the local family who kindly donated the first station at Shell Beach. The Project is to install additional Rescue Stations at key beach locations, subject to Grants/funding. Maintenance will be by volunteers through the BPKTCA.
BPKTCA is seeking Grants, donations, etc., to commission future stations; the next is at Bawley Beach, adjacent to the Boat Ramp.
There is a QR code on both rescue station cabinets to report malfunction, use or theft, hopefully not the latter.

BPKTCA is seeking Grants, donations, etc., to commission future stations; the next is at Bawley Beach, adjacent to the Boat Ramp. Two submissions are already in place; additional work is planned for 2026.
A Community-Led Project (CLP) has been initiated to progressively install Beach Rescue Stations along the beaches from Bawley Point to Kioloa.
This Project will be discussed at our next General Meeting on Sunday, 21st September, including proposed locations for the first two stations, the type of stations, and maintenance responsibilities.
An essential element of any CLP is that the Community is consulted and provided with details of the Project to enable the Community to understand it.
See an extract from the CLP Council process now available on their website.
