May 2026 Update.
The Community Association has conducted a survey, and it’s apparent that the Existing nets are approximately half on the Kioloa Oval, Crown land managed by Council and half on adjoining land.
Accordingly, the SCC CLP team advise they will need to be relocated. BPKTCA’s preference is for the North end of the oval, close to adjacent facilities, including water and toilets.
The survey data is with the SCC Building and Landscape Design Team, who will work through some options. Once this is available, SCC will send options through for community consultation.
The target is to have an agreed position ready for the Grant application by mid-August.

The communities of Bawley Point and Kioloa support the Project, we recently received 20 supporting written to BPKTCA submissions to repair and upgrade the facility.
Provide a project rationale or pitch, describing the project’s benefits to the community.
A cricket pitch is already there, but due to zero maintenance, it has deteriorated and is now unsafe to use. There are families with children who play cricket; they travel to Ulladulla (30 minutes each way) to practice. The recently completed Community Strategic Plan has identified a need for more outdoor activities for the local children and visiting families, and visitors at the nearby Tasman Park. This is also the first step to regenerate the Kioloa Oval into a recreational facility.
